Artwork/Designs Foraging Outside written by tracy I love foraging for natural elements that can add unique touches to designs and handmade items which I can bring back to my workshop. Branches, moss, bark, pinecones, rocks, and, of course, flowers can add so much to my inspirations and creative pieces. Wild flowers are beautiful elements that lend such whimsical beauty and color to projects. WILDFLOWERS I have started collecting wildflowers for arrangements and to dry and press them. It is so much fun and surprising to see what the end result is. Collecting natural elements from the landscape around you can bring such unusual results to your arrangements The gathering of the elements is also such a different experience every time, and where we live there are tons of wildflowers growing in fields and along the roadsides. Amazing things happen when you go outside. Foraging and collecting have such a freeing quality and allow me to reconnect with the world around me. Since I have been doing this I have noticed so much more of what grows naturally right outside in our own backyards that can be used for wonderful unique elements in designs.
